Description
The BL220DD radio differential pressure sensor, together with the BL220F or BL220Fi exhaust air safety switch, forms a safety system for monitoring the differential pressure between the installation room of the fireplace and the connecting piece (chimney) or outside atmosphere during the simultaneous operation of a ventilation system such as a stove hood, hob hood or living room ventilation system with an open fireplace. Due to possible problematic weather conditions, it is recommended to additionally use a BL220Temp (temperature sensor).
The safety system can be installed and operated in three different modes:
Operating Mode 1
Monitoring of the differential pressure between the installation room of a room-air-dependent fireplace and its connecting piece (chimney) with a limit value of -4 Pa in the connecting piece (i.e. the negative pressure in the connecting piece relative to the installation room must not be ≤4 Pa).
→ DIP switches 5 and 6 to "ON" position (Mounting 1)
Operating Mode 2 (the windshield box is needed here)
Monitoring of the differential pressure between the installation room of a room-air-independent fireplace and the outside atmosphere with a limit value of -8 Pa in the installation room (i.e. the negative pressure in the installation room of the fireplace compared to the pressure outside the building must not be ≥8 Pa).
→ DIP switch 5 in "ON" position / DIP switch 6 in "OFF" position (Mounting 2)
Operating Mode 3 (the windshield box is needed here)
Monitoring of the differential pressure between the installation room of a room-air-dependent fireplace and the outside atmosphere with a limit value of -4 Pa in the installation room (i.e. the negative pressure in the installation room of the fireplace compared to the pressure outside the building must not be ≥ 4 Pa).
→ DIP switch 5 to position "OFF" / DIP switch 6 to position "ON" (Mounting 2)
