The BL220TEMP is an extension of our DIBt approved modular system BL220F. This combination provides not only optimal safety, but also pleasant comfort. This is because the cooker hood can receive and evaluate enable signals from either the window contact switch or the temperature sensor. If the stove is not in use, which the temperature sensor can determine via the flue gas temperature in the flue pipe (this must be less than 40°C), the window does not have to be opened specially to use the extractor hood.
If, the measured temperature in the smoke pipe of the oven is greater than 40°C, the transmission of the enable signals of the BL220TEMP is aborted. In order to use the cooker hood again, the window must then be opened so that the window transmitter sends enable signals again.
With this mode of operation, the exhaust air system can always be operated independently of the open window during periods when the furnace is not in use. So in this regard, the combination of receiver, window transmitter, and temperature sensor offers an extremely convenient solution, which in addition also helps to save energy by never having to open the window unnecessarily and heat remains in the room.
The BL220TEMP is suitable as a safety device for the following, room air-dependent fireplaces in conjunction with a venting system:
- Hand-fed fireplaces according to
- DIN EN 128151
- DIN EN 132292
- DIN EN 132403
- DIN EN 12815:2005-09 Stoves for solid fuels - Requirements and tests
- DIN EN 13229:2005-10 Kamineinsätze einschließlich offener Kamine für feste Brennstoffe - Requirements and tests
- DIN EN 13240:2005-10 Room heater for solid fuel - Requirements and tests
It is assumed that both the combustion air supply and the operationally and fire-safe discharge of the exhaust gases from the simultaneously operated room-air dependent fireplace are ensured regardless of the window position of the monitored window and that the fuel recommended by the manufacturer of the fireplace is used.
The main advantages
-
Optimal for retrofitting existing systems
-
Easy mounting (mounting material included)
-
No energy loss due to open window when the fireplace is not heated
-
Works with all Broko Radio Systems
Various components can be added to this system as supplements (extended functions available).
Important
The installation of the BL220TEMP radio temperature sensor in the connection piece of the room air-dependent fireplace must be carried out by the manufacturer's instructions and in consultation with the responsible district chimney sweep. The temperature sensor must be installed in such a way that a homogeneous flow around the temperature sensor is possible. The temperature sensor must be installed between
- The flue gas connection of a room-air-dependent fireplace and the flue gas system (for heaters without a reheating surface).
- The flue gas connection of a room-air-dependent fireplace and the reheating surface (for heaters with the reheating surface).
The distance between the installation point of the temperature sensor and the exhaust gas connection of the room air-dependent fireplace must not exceed 1.5m. If a post-heating surface (heating gas flue) is arranged, the temperature sensor must be placed before the post-heating surface.
. When mounting the temperature sensor, make sure that the transmitter is not mounted behind a panel, which results in shielding of the radio signals.
The BL220TEMP radio temperature sensor can be operated together with the BL220F v2 and BL220Fi (also BL200F, BL200FA) exhaust air controls.
